Happy Mardi Gras Yall!!

Yep it's getting close!! Mardi Gras is right around the corner!! A lot of people think that Mardi Gras originated in New Orleans but they are wrong! Mobile, AL is the birthplace of Mardi Gras! Check out the history at Mobile Carnival Museum This year Mobile, AL Mardi Gras starts on Friday, February 18 with the Conde Cavaliers officially kicking the carnival season off!! Its such an exciting time! Of course some of our neighboring towns have started their own Mystic Society's such as Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Dauphin Island and Fairhope. Check out the 2011 Mobile, AL Parade Schedule These cupcakes are for a Cupcake and Cocktail Party at the Mobile Carnival Museum this weekend! They are Lemon Cake with Lemon Cream Cheese Icing and topped with handmade Mardi Gras Masks!

Man I have been so busy!!

I havent blogged in a while I have been so busy!!  So last night I made the kids some cupcakes for thier Christmas parties at school today. I went the easy route and didnt use fondant but they turned out really great!! I did chocolate and vanilla cake with buttercream icing! Topped with sprinkles & some cute pics! The kids loved them! They smelled so good this morning. I cant wait to get home and eat my leftovers! haha! Here is a pic I took with my phone but I have more to post soon!
