Cake!

So I made a little cake last night with my left over cupcake batter. I need to practice getting the icing smooth...who knows maybe soon you will be ordering a Posh Cake instead of cupcakes! I can do cakes if they are covered in fondant I'm just not good at making icing smooth or crumb free for cakes with just icing....I'm going to keep practicing though! Ill post a pic tomorrow of it.  Any tips on how to ice a cake??

Happy 3rd Birthday Princess Avia!

These were for a little princess on her 3rd birthday! Pink and brown!  The vanilla cake was tinted pink just for the princess and iced with chocolate icing. The chocolate cake was iced with vanilla buttercream. All were topped with pink princess tiaras with an embossed 3 and white perils!!

Yes they shimmer! You cant have a tiara without a little shimmer!!

 Ok so this one was just one that I was playing around with trying a new technique.

I may try this on the next order!

Best Friends Lunch!!

So I moved across town to WEMO and my BFF Joanna lives in ESHO and My other BFF Jan lives in NOMO. If you dont know what that means its code talk around here in Mobile for which part of town you live in. WEMO = West Mobile County, ESHO = Eastern Shore or Daphne or you could also say she lives across the bay which isnt Mobile its Baldwin County anyway and NOMO is North Mobile County. Needless to say its hard for all of us to get together because we each have so much going on in our lives! So I decided to have a BFF lunch. Each of our names start with a "J" and back in the day we used to call ourselves the 3 J's. So to keep the theme I added little "J's" to our cupcakes! 3 of course! :)

50th Birthday!!!

These were created this weekend for Melissa G. Crow and her husband who were both celebrating thier 50th birthday!!! The pink ones are chocolate & yellow cake with pink buttercream icing. The white ones are red velvet cake topped with white chocolate buttercream icing and a fondant "50" topper! Happy birthday yall!

So when I have left over batter I like to experiment and make crazy cupcakes for my Sugar (Chad) These are Butterfinger Cupcakes! Chocolate cake with crushed up butterfinger mixed in the batter. Topped with Chocolate Buttercream icing and Butterfinger Candybar!  Sugar said that this was the best yet but then again he is partial to Butterfinger. :)

Flower Power!!!

These Posh little cupcakes are packed full of Flower Power! Chocolate cake with Chocolate Buttercream and a pink fondant flower on top make for a sassy little cupcake! These are for a co-worker. She has twin sisters and it's thier birthday! She wanted something girly and chocolate for them! I love pink and brown together!
